About Madeleine Chenette

Madeleine Chenette is a woman of vision, deeply committed to her community and to public service. Elected as the federal Member of Parliament for Thérèse-De-Blainville in 2025 and serving as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture as well as to the Secretary of State (Sport), she embodies leadership that is both compassionate and determined.

Before her election, she built an impressive career in both the private and diplomatic sectors. She held senior executive positions at SECOR, KPMG, and Accenture, where she led major strategic transformation and economic development initiatives. In 2019, she was appointed Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Canada to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). In that role, she advanced Canada’s priorities on the international stage, particularly in the areas of innovation, sustainability, and gender equality.

Her career has been defined by a consistent drive to build bridges between the economic, social, and cultural spheres. She served as Chair of the fundraising campaign for Herstreet Montréal, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Club canadien de Montréal, and volunteered her expertise to Quebec’s Artificial Intelligence Steering Committee as well as the Quebec Advisory Council on the Economy and Innovation.

Madeleine Chenette is also widely recognized for her advocacy of women’s leadership. She has twice been named among Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women. The Association of Women in Finance of Quebec awarded her the Inspiration Award in 2011 and the Great Mentor Award in 2013. In 2018, she was a finalist for the “Femme d’exception” award at Les Mercuriades, highlighting her influence and determination to pave the way for other women.

Holding a Master’s degree in Management Science from HEC Montréal and a Chartered Director designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, she now dedicates her experience and passion to serving the residents of Thérèse-De-Blainville. Her approach is grounded in listening, collaboration, and the belief that every local initiative can contribute to building a fairer, greener, and more inclusive Canada.

A proud and devoted mother, Madeleine Chenette lives in her riding with her partner. She remains deeply attached to the values of solidarity, innovation, and openness that have guided her throughout her journey.
